I thought the night before I go on vacay would be the perfect time to share my flat tummy summer medley salad recipe with you guys! Writing about it between packing is a form of meditational motivation (to hopefully help me to eat healthy while I’m away 🙂 It is a protein-packed salad with a ton of flavors and super filling too!First, I boiled the tri-colored quinoa, red lentils, corn, & edamame in a pan. While it was boiling, I placed the mixed greens in a bowl, added chopped scallions, & lemon juice.
When I have the extra time, I generally make my own dressing using olive oil, balsamic vinegar, & seasonings. Next I prepared the tuna scoop. I used a can of tuna packed in water. Instead of adding mayo to it, I used blue cheese dressing. It just tastes so much better!
Then mustard, oregano leaves, fresh ground pepper, & garlic salt were added to the tuna and mixed all together. After draining the quinoa mixture, I placed a quinoa medley scoop, along with the tuna scoop, on top of the prepared greens. Then I added some more ground pepper and Bragg’s liquid aminos to the quinoa mix. Lastly, I drizzled the entire salad with dressing & balsamic glaze. Bon appetite! Hope you guys like this recipe! Not only is it healthy, but it is good for the skin, and keeps muscles lean. It is loaded with protein from the quinoa, tuna, edamame, & red lentils. I will miss you guys and will do my very best to get a blog post up while I’m away! :))) Have a beautiful weekend, my lovelies!! xoxo ~Kelle

Introducing my new handmade fringe necklace design! It can also be rocked on the leg! This one of a kind piece is perfect for layering with a tank or tee, and looks super posh with a sport coat! It is strung on snake print leather cord and I wove a few braids into the piece here and there. There are lots of uneven frays that I just love! It gives it some edge 🙂Lastly, I stitched in a few pops of my favorite color bright green. I just love its newspaper vibe & might have to add this one to my posh threads collection! Hope your week is going great, everyone! xoxo ~Kelle
I am SO excited to announce Hunter Smith as my east coast brand ambassador! She is exquisitely beautiful and I could not be more honored by her wearing Kelley Nicole Collection posh threads! The line is inspired by my chihuahua’s silhouettes. Hunter’s sweatshirt was handmade, hand-stitched with pale blue thread, and hand-fringed. The white fringe is hand-painted in pale blue as well, and knotted with black fabric. It is such a chic and bohemian look on her! I am especially loving the white on white shorts with creme/black shoes look! Thank you for sending me your gorgeous silhouette in your new sweatshirt from Florida, Hunter! I am so blessed for all of your support, beauty! Have an amazing weekend, everyone! XO ~Kelle
Last week I was incredibly blessed to model for Tieks by Gavrieli! It was a gorgeous beach front shoot at Hotel Casa Del Mar! The exquisite hotel’s poolside courtyard and surrounding areas made for a beautiful shoot. Photos coming soon! If you don’t have a pair of Tieks yet, I can’t recommend them enough. Talk about feet heaven! Wearing them for the shoot was the most comfort I’ve ever been in on set, because I am normally in heels. Tieks conform to my foot like a mold, while most flats hurt my feet and slip off my heel when I walk. They also bounce when I step because of their super high-tech cushioning! I love that they can fold up and go into my purse. The array of colors & Italian leathers they come in can be paired with any outfit! Some are even hand painted and one-of-a-kind. Let’s talk about my absolute favorite pair: the leopards! This frisky feline style is from The Wild Collection & fit my feet to a Tieks! 🙂 Meow!
Girls, they go with everything! I also love the signature Tieks turquoise stripes and sole bottoms! Such a great contrast with my leopards!
The packaging, simply put, is eye candy! As a child, I loved ballet and was also a gymnast. These remind me so much of my toe shoes and even come in the same exact shade of pale ballerina pink! The most absolute amazing thing about Tieks by Gavrieli? All their donations to women’s empowerment. To date, The Gavrieli Foundation has contributed over $3 million to female entrepreneurs across the world! Thank you, Tieks, for all you do in support of women and their dreams! I feel so blessed to be a Tieks girl and be given the opportunity to model for such an outstanding company. Styling my leopard flats with skinnies, shorts, & tanks is so nostalgic! I just had to try them this weekend with my favorite coral lipstick!

Hi my loves! If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have seen that last week I highlighted my hair for my recent Tieks by Gavrieli photo shoot at Hotel Casa Del Mar! A blog post on the most comfortable ballet flats I’ve ever worn will be coming soon! For my hair, I chose Loreal’s Frost & Design in the shade H85 Champagne. In the past I’ve added lowlights, but never highlights, and therefore, was a bit nervous. But I thought I’d give it a try because you only live once! It is the kind of all-over highlights that you pull through a cap. This method gives precise all over highlights, without having to worry about product spots dropping on your hair. Pulling hair through the holes with the enclosed crochet type hook can be tricky. Using a mirror to see the back was essential. Also important to pull hair through the holes very gently. Because I was fearful of epic amateur hair failure, I did not leave the product in long enough. So my first attempt at highlighting was hardly noticeable. Last night I thought I’d try it again, and picked up some more of the same flavor. I left it on for 15 minutes longer this time and I am so glad I did. The color is almost back to being exactly the same as when I first started modeling for only $22! Thank you so much, Loreal! Hair photo shoots are my absolute favorite to shoot, so I took some artsy photos of my new hairdo on my Canon.
Coloring my own hair was so much fun, too! It was like painting! Have a great weekend everyone! xoxo ~Kelle
