Happy National Puppy Day, everyone! These two peas in a pod always make life interesting!
Lil’ Maple survived parvo and was quarantined for three months before I found her. It was love at first sight. After I adopted her, she started perching on my shoulder like a bird. Building chihuahua-bird nests with my hair is her thing. And she is always keeping me on my toes!
Maple keeps me on my toes, & Posh keeps me RUNNING! Total bundle of energy. She never gets tired. lol. Also, chicken is her thing. Just say the word & Posh will dance, sit, or roll over for it. These babes are my life. Wishing everyone a Happy Puppy Day!
Hi guys! In my latest video I review the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette and Naked Skin One & Done Foundation. The Naked Smoky palette is perfection! So versatile for both day and night eye looks. In addition to creating fierce smoky eyes with both warm & cool tones, el natural looks are also a cinch to create with the matte & warm shades. Another great thing about this palette is that it is organized by shadow textures: 4 mattes, 4 satins, & 4 metallics, all grouped accordingly.
This handy-dandy texture arrangement makes putting the look together so fast and easy! The doubled-ended brush contains a blending brush and smudge brush. The bristles are soft and I really love this brush (a rarity for me to like the brushes included in a palette! 😉
For the smoky eye look created in my video, I used a combination of Smolder, Armor, & High (my fave metallic shade in the palette!), Password, & Combust. The Smolder shade is a greyish-purple and my favorite shade in the palette. Over the course of building the smokey eye in the video, Smolder made my eye color change from dark blue, to light grey, to green. What the!?!!! Makeup is magic!!! I paired the eye look with a bright berry lip with NYX’s Butter Lipstick in the shade Thunderstorm. Loved how the look turned out and hope you do too! The Naked Skin One & Done Foundation is a light and gorgeous on the skin.
I could be wrong by calling it a foundation (might be considered a BB Cream?). Either way, I love it. It has a thin, light texture and gives my skin the your-skin-but-better look. I found that applying it with fingers is the best way to apply it. Applying with a brush just feathers the product away. Also, I loved that I could build the coverage up. The best part about this foundation is its skin care benefits. Love that it has peptides in it! Also, it lasted all day and night without moving, and at the very end of the day my skin felt SO soft. No exaggeration here: no other foundation in all of my life has ever made my skin feel so soft. This foundation/bb cream will come in super handy in the summer too! I’ve been wearing the palette & foundation a lot since Christmas. What are your thoughts on the Smoky palette and One & Done Foundation? I would love to hear them. Hope you enjoy this review video! Happy New Year, my loves!! ❤ ❤ ~Kelle

Happy weekend, yawls!!!! My OOTW & Recycled Kelley Nicole Collection Handbags video is now up!
In this vid, I featured my latest fave way to design and wear half harem/half shorts, that I recycled out of a size 10 vintage velvet dress! For lack of a better way to describe them, I’m calling them asymmetrical harem pants. I will be designing lots of these in different fabrics/patterns.
The handbags were made by recycling my old leather skirts & belts that just sat in my closet collecting dust.
Did you know?
Recycling unwanted clothing reduces landfill waste as well as the amount of resources needed to produce new clothing. It also lessens the waste produced by the manufacturing process — clothing scraps end up in the landfill, too. Used clothing can be donated, sold or disassembled for the fabric. Americans discard an estimated 68 pounds of clothing a year, while buying 10 pounds of recycled clothes. About 99 percent of what is thrown away can be recycled. Clothing and household textiles, consisting of fabrics such as cotton, polyester, nylon and rayon, make up almost 5 percent of the total garbage in landfills. (Source: SF Gate, Lexa W. Lee)
Before: Leather Skirts
After: Recycled Handbags
This was such a fun vid to make! If you like this vid, please be sure to give it a thumbs up & subscribe to my channel to be looped into my upcoming fashion vids! Muahhhhhh, darlings!! ❤ ❤
Hi guys! My April Faves & Current Makeup-Prep Routine vid is now up! There were a ton of products that I’ve been loving this month, hence the lengthy vid. I’ve been loving Jurlique’s Purely Age-Defying Eye Cream.
It has a gel/lotion-like texture, and leaves my eye area feeling super soothed. Many tend to think that applying heavy creams to the undereye area is a good thing. On the contrary, heavy eye creams can actually clog the tiny pores around your eyes and draw attention to your eye area. Thinner textured, uber-hydrating eye creams are the way to go for sensitive undereyes. Jurlique’s is definitely one of my faves. Bare Minerals Biolucent Mineral Brightening Treatment has also been amazeeee. I apply it after I apply the Rose Hip Oil, and then I apply my moisturizer.
This combo has been giving my skin healthy radiance without the need to slather on as much highlighter 😉 One of my new holy grail’s is Chrislie/Measurable Difference’s Rose Hip Body Oil. It is a luxurious, calming, & hydrating oil. On the bottle it does say the oil can be applied to face, so I’ve been primarily using it as such :_) Aside from the light, true rose scent & lovely roses floating at the top of the glass bottle, I love that a little goes a long way. It applies from a glass dropper as a light oil, not a heavy one, & leaves my skin feeling hydrated and dewy.
This oil very could be my fave product of life!!!! Also been loving Real Techniques blush brush & Wet N’ Wild’s contour palettes!
What was I doing before this blush brush!?!! The contour palettes include super soft powders that blend flawlessly! Especially love the banana shade for setting my undereye concealer. The bronzers are matte, and are amazing for sculpting and all-over bronzing, not to mention, they also make great crease shades for that balanced bronzed makeup look. Petal Fresh’s Toning Hibiscus Papaya body butter has done wonders for body hydration this month as well. I also recommend their Honey Coconut Oil flavor :))) The Petal Fresh Pomegranate Face Wipes have been my quick face exfoliation go-to’s!
The thing I love the most about Petal Fresh is that their products include super natural ingredients. Next, Soapbox’s Mandarin Hand Soap won’t be leaving my sink anytime soon. With every Soapbox purchase, Soapbox will donate a soap to someone in need. Love their charitable efforts!! The mandarin scent is divineeeeeee!!!! Another fave is my plaid Posh Poncho chihuahua clothing design. Having a lot of fun making these!
If I have left anything out in this post, everything is in my vid above 🙂 Wishing everyone a beautiful week! XO ~Kelle
Greetings! I hope everyone is having a gorgeous week! Between filming The Daily Vitamin, I’ve also been working on the designs for my collection. Here is one of my latest designs: the recycled Posh Threads cardigan!
After a day of sewing this is our current mood hehe.
Wishing everyone a great rest of the week! Good night my lovelies! Xo ~Kelle
Happy New Year, everyone! Today I was going to start the year off with a hike. My plan didn’t really work out 🙂 Instead, I decided to make a chihuahua carrier for our future hikes 🙂 I’ve been wanting a cross body carrier for a while now for my 3lb dog. But I just haven’t been able to find the right satchel that reflects my style, while also being comfy for my dog. I did know that I wanted something bohemian chihuahua chic style. So today I handmade one using fabric from a brown tank top. Then I tied the shirt in sections with rubberbands before dip-dying. The tie dying process is so much fun because I never know what color it will turn out. The brown fabric turned a gorgeous shade of berry magenta. The color lightened up a few shades after I had washed it with detergent & dried it. Then I cut some fringe on the top, pulled them for the curled fringe look, and then used gold pins to secure the satchel area. That way I can also remove & adjust the pins for when I wear it as a shirt, shawl, & scarf when my chihuahua isn’t in it 🙂 I wore it around with her today & she poked her head inside the satchel & went to sleep. She loves it because my body warmth keeps her cozy!Hope to make some more of these soon for my Etsy store. What do you guys think? Would you wear one? Wishing everyone the most magical year to date!! Happy New Year!! ❤ ❤ 🎉✨🎉✨🎉 XO ~Kelley
