April Favourites: Beauty, Body, Hair & Home!

Ahhhhhhh aromatherapy!  It’s about that time for April favourites (in May lol).  Lately I have been rather obsessed with Soap & Glory’s Smoothie Star Body Milk.  It is incredibly moisturizing and smells like a dream.  It is a gourmand scent with almond, honey, oats etc.  I don’t find the scent to be sickening sweet, but rather, a calming sweet accord-ion of well-orchestrated notes.  It layers so nicely with musks & floriental perfumes.  Absolutely loveeeee it!

Another favorite is my Ibiza round hair brush.  This brush beats every brush I own! A blow dry is just never quite the same if I try and blow dry my hair with my other brushes.  The Ibiza grabs every strand of hair in a section with one swipe, smoothes & shines each strand, and brushes through it effortlessly.  If you have long hair, this is amazing for big Bridget Bardot waves.  Also great for straight hair looks.  It is a blow dry and styling must!

April wouldn’t have been the same without my Physician’s Formula Bronze Booster in the shade: light to medium.  It is similar in shade to my beloved butter bronzer, but has more of a glow due to its sheen.  The sheen doesn’t register as glitter on the skin, but instead as a sun kissed glow.  When I wear a faux tan, this is the bronzer I pair with it.  As reflected in the below photos, this bronzer is very well loved :)))

My skin cleansing routine in April included a new cream cleanser I have been adoring from Lily of the Desert.  I’ve been testing out several products from this line over recent months and will be mentioning a few more of my faves very soon.  This gentle, aloe-based cleanser is fantastic for my dry skin peeps.  It has been my go-to cleanser for a quick scrub before and after my workouts.  I love that it also includes chamomile.  #soothing ❤

After cleansing, my skin gets a quick daily exfoliation with Doll Face Beauty’s Clarify Tonic.  I’ve mentioned this baby many times on my blog and channel.  It is THAT good. The glycolic acid in this balancing tonic keeps my skin exfoliated and refreshed.  I wear it once daily either right before moisturizing/pre-makeup or before bed prior to moisturizing.  ❤ it!

Another skincare product that I was never without in April was my Honey Girl Organics The Lotion Face & Body moisturizer.  It preps and plumps my skin for makeup and keeps it deeply moisturized all day long.  Cruelty-free, organic, gluten-free & made with honey and skin-soothing luscious oils, this emollient moisturizer is the bees knees.

Lastly, but certain not leastly, is my DW Home Black Rose Oud candle.  This is basically heaven on earth.  The scent is rich, decadent and sooooo relaxing.  This candle falls into my top 5 candles list of all time.  I will be doing that blog and video someday soon :))))) Maybe it’s just me, but every once and while I will get a wiff of tobacco with the rose and oud notes.  I am like a mad woman on the hunt for a perfume that smells identical to this black rose oud scent.  The gold lid with black bow & black glass holder makes the presentation of this candle so classic and chic for the home or to give as a gift.  A bath and bubbles would not be the same without this black rose beauty. #DIVINITY

Mug Hugs & The Charlie B Gallery Art Movement!

Good morning, lovely ones!  There is nothing quite like the gift of art.  Art is one of the most inspiring vessels for creativity.  Art tells a unique, one-of-a-kind story, that only the artist can tell.  This glorious pottery mug, handmade by Professor Jill Brugler, was sent to me this week by my friend Charles Blim, owner of the Charlie B Gallery in Nevada.  Charlie is an arts enthusiast and extraordianry advocate for artists!

IMG_3423
Handmade Pottery Mug by Professor Jill Brugler | More of her beautiful pottery mugs & vases can be found at Charlie B Gallery in Nevada

He mug hugged me with this gorgeous drinking vessel in my favorite shade of lime green.  Its beautiful design is just….wowwwww…I am at a loss for words.  I absolutely love its bright,  bohemian, and marbled look.  The marbling  reminds me so much of tie dye, one of my favorite things.  Dishwasher safe, too!      IMG_3446 2.jpgCharlie has created a movement of gifting people with pottery mug art, created by local Nevada artists, from his gallery.  He will randomly gift a postal employee, gallery patron, and even gifts complete strangers, with a mug masterpiece from his gallery. IMG_3334 2.jpg Not only does he light up the day of the person he gives a mug too, he is also getting the beautiful work of his local artists out into the world.  The world needs more people like Charlie.  Supporting the arts is of crucial importance, and especially now, more than ever before.IMG_3330.jpgWithout art, life would just be blahhhhh.  To me, art is life, and life is art.  My grandmother was an artist.  She taught me so much about life through art.  One time when I was kid, she painted a mural of a giant bear staring up at the stars onto the entire side of a van.  It was a masterpiece.  When she painted faces, you would see yourself for the first time.  Art pulled her through the Great Depression and then some.  And art, coffee, and this spiritual drinking vessel shall get me through this great political depression 🙂  IMG_3322.jpgWhile on the topic of art/ists, I thought I would also feature this gorgeous mug with a Tiger’s Eye origami resin bowl, handcrafted by artisans at Lawrence Essentials.  The colors in this handcrafted bowl are so stunning when the light hits it just right.  Amber lights are just so sooooooothing & love it paired with my new Brugler mug ;)))

IMG_3315.jpg

Some of the greatest masterpieces have been made with an artist’s own two hands.  It is remarkable to think about the time, the stories, inspiration, brilliance, patience, and dedication it takes for an artist to create a unique work of art.  IMG_3410.jpgThere will be loads of morning medium roast Kona Hawaiian coffee & afternoon green tea sipped from this lime green goblet of goodness.  May Charlie’s Giving Cup inspire fashion/jewelry design and lyrics!  With <3, a Professor Brugler lime green goblet masterpiece & Kona coffee, there is nothing that can’t be conquered! :)))  Thank you so much for the mug hug, Charlie!!!  Godspeed to Charlie’s Art Movement! As much as he supports artists, we can also support him by following him on Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram!  You never know, he may just #MUGHUG YOU!  Much love!! ~Kelle ❤ ❤IMG_3506 3

Hi loves!! This is the makeup look that I wore to my friend’s Alice In Wonderland birthday party this week!  In my latest video I give you the deets on how to achieve this retro inspired editorial “Alice” look.  IMG_1826 2The outfit ensemble included a black/white striped dress from 599Fashion, a diamond-shaped necklace I made with some bits and bobs I had lying around, and a pair of funky patent leather red/gold striped platform heels by Paloma Barceló.

This “Alice” look was created by using a metallic turquoise shadow by Profusion to create a kitten flick.  The lip shade was an alchemy of two Wet N Wild red & pink matte lip shades.

The cheek highlight was created with Physician’s Formula “Nude” eyeshadow strip palette!  I’ve been using it as a highlighter a lot lately!

250 Subscriber GIVEAWAY & Makeup Brush Cleaning Taco Thing-A-Ma-Jiggy $1 GAMECHANGER

My doll-ingggggggsssss!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping me reach 250 subscribers on YouTube over the weekend!!! I can’t even believe it!!! Your support is AMAZINGGGGG!!!!!!  THANK YOU!!!!!  Thank you to everyone who supports my blog as well!!! It means so much to me!!!  As shown in my Naked Taco photo lol, one lucky winner will receive a Naked Basics palette!!! ba914200f518effae3346859249f9bf9 2.jpgbc3e9be6b982034f8e0506b762d2cd31 2.jpg
It is one of my fave palettes because it is compact for travel & perfect for both eyes and brows.  I l ❤ that the palette is mostly matte.  It also has one satin shade, called Venus, that is great for inner eye and brow highlights.  The shades, Naked 2 & Faint are perfect shades for mixing a custom brow shade.  This also means it is one last eye product to bring in your travel bag! Hope my giveaway winner loves it as much as I do (contest details located at end of this post).  Also in this video I show you my $1 makeup brush cleaning taco thing-a-ma-jiggy GAMECHANGER!!!

IMG_4445.jpg
Silicon Makeup Cleaning Brush Pad | $1 Gamechanger from the cooking section of your local Dollar Tree or $.99 Store!

This turquoise honey-combed silicon pad works on cleaning both dry and wet brushes!  And drum roll please….it looks like a Tiffany’s brush cleaner for ONLY $1 from your local Dollar Tree or $.99 Store!  They come in an array of colors.  Some makeup cleaning pads can cost up to $30!!!  I found mine in the cooking section at the Dollar Tree.  Yep, it’s a silicon kitchen pot holder that I use for cleaning my makeup brushes.  I use it 7 days a week for cleaning powder shadows from my dry brushes between each shadow change.  This makes getting ready fast and convenient, and especially on days when my spare blending brushes are dirty.

IMG_4508.jpg
I use the Tiffany’s makeup brush cleaning taco 7 days a week for cleaning my dry brushes between each eyeshadow change. So time saving!

I also like to give my brushes a thorough cleansing once a week.  This makeup brush cleaning thingamajiggy really gets every speck of makeup off of my brush bristles, thanks to those honey-comb shaped grooves.  And especially when I use makeup cleansing oils, like my favorite one from Nars, to wash the bristles.

IMG_4514.jpg
Cleaning your makeup brushes with a makeup cleansing oil helps to moisturize your bristles, and preserve their longevity.

Over time, soaps can just dry the bristles out, and this doesn’t feel so great on your skin.  When you wash your brushes with an oil, it is important to get every speck of old makeup off and also every speck of the oil off of your bristles. IMG_7817.jpg Any oil residue will weigh your bristles down, and won’t let them perform properly.  But when the oil is completely rinsed off properly, your bristles will be clean, germ-free, and moisturized.  Oil helps preserve the longevity of your brushes.     IMG_4518.jpg

That all said, you can clean your makeup brushes with it wet or dry, and also use it for its primary reason: to remove hot, baking dishes from the oven.  lol. Or use it to rest your brush holders or hot coffees on while you get ready.  It is flat like a thin pancake (or crêpe? lol) and looks so SLEEK on the vanity.

IMG_7831 2.jpg
My Lorac brushes are my favorite brushes for quick smokey eyes.

Also, you can roll your brushes up in this turquoise Tiffany’s looking taco for convenient travel purposes.  It rolls up and folds over compactly.  Simply secure with a hair tie or rubber band. #life #hacks

I just absolutely adore how bright and fresh it looks.  When used as a cup holder, it literally saves me from spilling coffee on my brushes lol.

IMG_7801.jpg
This $1 pot holder/makeup brush cleaning pad is also a great hot coffee cup holder in the mornings when I am getting ready!

Since the running color theme of this thingamajiggy is turquoise, IMG_7817.jpgI had to wear my new Muskoka Nord Aquamarine Teepee necklace in the video.  I love wearing it in support of our Native Americans.  They need all of our help right now.  NO DAPL!!!  IMG_9867.jpgLooking forward to layering my Teepee necklace with my Muskoka Nord orange agate fish. I store them in my diy jewelry organizer. The fish is also Native American-art deco inspired.  NO DAPL.

OH and leave it to me to set up a new background/lighting and nearly catch my new background on fire with my candle prop. OMG.  Let’s just pretend that didn’t happen in my first video with my new background. LOL.  If you are into candles, Stephen’s Candles (below) are heaven!!  The best & yummiest candles I’ve ever used!

Sweet & Peachy Valentine’s Day Makeup Look | Too Faced Love Palette Review & GRWM

For all of the hopeless romantics out there, alas is my review of the Too Faced LOVE palette! With Valentine’s Day approaching, it seemed like a good time to review it for you!  I was love struck when I first saw the rose gold shade: Adore (the heart farthest to the left).

IMG_6938.jpg
The rose gold shade, Adore, in the Too Faced Love Palette had me at hello!
It was the entire reason why I purchased the palette.  This shadow is what really made my peachy-eyed look come to life in my V-day video.

After trying the rest of the shades out, I have so many more reasons to be infatuated with this palette!  The shade selection is perfect.  They blend and build color amazingly.

IMG_6920.jpg
Too Face Love Palette Swatches
The two champagne shades, Cherish & Devotion, are incredible.  A gentle tap is all I needed to highlight my brow bone & inner eyes. I lined my upper last line with Amorous.  There’s something super soft, natural, & pretty that I love about lining with shadows.

IMG_7305.jpg
15 shades are included in the Too Faced Love palette
Let’s talk about the waterproof eye pencil that comes in the palette.  It comes in the shade, Perfect Black, on one end, and a “thinga-majiggy” on the other end. The black pencil is soft, smooth, & blends amazing. I just can’t bring myself to call the other end a smudger.  It is hard plastic.  My advice is to keep it as far away from your orbital as possible.  I can’t imagine ever using this to blend anything, not even a peach smoothie.

IMG_6996 2.jpg
The Too Faced Love palette comes with a black waterproof eye pencil that lasts all day/night.
Sweet peachy lips were achieved by layering two Wet n Wild shades, namely, Blossom Out & Within These Adobe walls.  I wasn’t expecting the alchemy to come out as peachy as it did, and I ended up loving it!  A new fave lip combo from here on out!

Also in the video, I made a makeup blunder by using a wet face brush, unbeknownst that it was still wet from the previous night’s cleaning.  Ooooops.  It streaked my beloved Sonia Kashuk bronzer & Garnier BB Cream face makeup.  So I shared my smoke & mirrors modeling trick to minimizing streaky makeup blunders that you won’t want to miss.  Without having to completely redo your face/cheek makeup.  Cuz lets face it girls and boys, who has time for that!?!

IMG_7273 2.jpg

For soft pink cheeks, I first applied Physician’s Formula Happy Booster Blush,img_7294-3

with my Real Techniques blush/face brush (hot pink one below).  Best makeup brush for la face EVER.img_7414

Next I added Wet N Wild’s new cream blush stick in the shade: Peach Bums.  A ridiculously amazing shade that will look great on all skin tones.  A perfect spring/summer shade.

img_7214-2

Lastly, I layered Crown of My Canopy highlighter onto Precious Petals.  Hello, cheekbones. This new Wet n Wild launch of powder highlighters and cream stick blushes/highlights are what dreams are made of.  More on them in my last post.

img_7257

While my Physician’s Formula Happy Booster Bronzer wasn’t a product used in my tutorial, however, I thought it was only fitting to include it in this V-day post.  Is becoming happier possible when you smear these gorgeous bronzing hearts on your face?  The answer is…..

heck yes. hehe

The sun always sets, the moon always shines, and may you always return to where the love is.  Have a gorgeous Valentine’s Day!!  xo ~Kelle

January Favorites & My Week Modeling For Stylus!

January Favorites are here at last!  I kept them short and sweet this month.  Thought I would mention the beauty products that are relatively new in my routine over recent weeks.  First up is Wet N Wild’s nail polish in the shade YO SOY.  This very skin-toned shade of nude looks chic with any outfit/jewelry selection.  And it’s only $.99!

IMG_6296 3.jpg
Wet N Wild Nail Polish, Shade: Yo Soy | January Favorites

This is also the shade that I wore all of last week while modeling for Stylus.  The polish lasted for a solid 4 days without chipping and has become my go-to shade.  YO SOY ENAMORADO! :))))  In case you might be wondering, Stylus is a furniture line that gives you customizable options for designing your own living spaces.

January would not have been complete without Almay’s Smart Shade blush in the shade Nude.  You can wear any of the four blush shades on their own, your own combo of the four,

IMG_3517.jpg
Almay Smart Shade Blush, Shade: Nude, is the most gorgeous collection of dusty pinks & mauves. | January Favorites

or you can mix them altogether as one shade (my preferred application method).  This dusty, cool-toned pinky mauve shade is SO flattering on the skin.  I especially love wearing it with a smoky eye.  One of the best blushes I have ever used!

img_3506

Mi amor for Essence’s Roses & Bronze palettes also began in December.

img_6536
Essence “Roses” & “Bronze” Eyeshadow palettes | January Favorites

How is it possible that a palette in the drugstore $5 per-palette-affordability-range be THIS good!?

img_6577
Swatches of Essence Roses palette

The shades are SO buttery, creamy, & smooth, that a primer is unnecessary!  That is, except for the matte shades.  If I wear the matte shades, I apply a satin shade first to act as a primer for the mattes & to prevent streakiness.  These are definitely A+++ palettes for the outstanding quality and low price tag.

img_6557
Swatches of Essence Bronze Palette

A skincare love is Deciem’s Hylamide C25 Vitamin C Booster Serum.  The texture applies like a slightly slippy gel primer.  Upon application, the serum dries down but not all the way.  After topping it with my moisturizer, it makes my skin feel quenched.  It also makes my skin look brighter when I wake up in the morning.  LOVE IT.

img_6646
Deciem Hylamide C25 Vitamin C Booster Serum | January Favorites

The Urban Decay Illuminated Highlighter Trio was also a favorite of mine in January.  The shades do contain micro-shimmer glitter.  I don’t find the glitter to be too chunky or bothersome.  These highlighters look gorgeous on the skin both day and night.

img_6523-3
Urban Decay Illuminated Trio Highlighters | January Favorites

The champagne shade called Oasis (middle shade), is more of a skin-enhancing powder than it is a bright highlight.  I think it looks stunning for a skin brightening pick-me-up.  My favorite way to wear these highlighters is by mixing the golden bronze shade called Pyrite,

img_6527-2
Urban Decay’s Illuminated Trio Pyrite highlight shade also makes a gorgeous eyeshadow.

mixed with the peachy Twilight shade.

img_6526
Urban Decay’s Illuminated Trio Twilight shade looks gorgeous mixed with Pyrite from the palette. Perfect for a sun goddess look!

The result is the most gorgeous Peach Bronze highlight ever!!!  Honestly, it is the perfect cheekbone alchemy for spring/summer tan goddess skin.  The Pyrite/Twilight combo looks just as amazing on fair skin (light-handed application recommended).   The brush that is included is AMAZE and purrrfect for traveling.  The bristles are incredibly soft & makes a stellar contour brush for the nose as well!

IMG_6523 3.jpg

So that pretty much sums things up for my favorites!  Hope you guys enjoy them.  Please let me know if you are loving any of the products I’ve mentioned, as I would love to hear your thoughts on how they are doing for you.  Have a rockin week, my loves!! ❤ ❤ ~Kelle

Kelley Nicole Collection Design Mode: Sea, Sun, Spring Bohemian

Nothing beats the winter blues than a dose of color.  Anyone else eager for Spring?  Just two more months until then, so I thought I would get a start on some Spring designing.  Last weekend I made another jewelry organizer, this time with some bright color, sequins, & print. That silk dress I recycled to make this organizer won’t be seeing the light of day ever again lol.  Thus far I have made three jewelry storage houses with recycled materials.  Of the three, the Moroccan one is my favorite.  To see more about them, be sure to check out this week’s video.

I also made some new semi-precious stone stackable rings.  These are just a few from this weekends two-day designing bender.  IMG_4636.jpg

This jade piece looks great alone or paired with stackables.  The jade stone tells a story from a trip I took out of the country last year.  Reminds me of the sea.
