Greetings, everyone! Over the past weekend I attended the art show opening of my beautiful friend, Nela Steric, at the Tag Gallery in Los Angeles. Her watercolor work is reflective, deep, vivid, emotional, original & complex. I find her work exceptionally thought-provoking, and so I thought to share a few of my favorite Nela masterpieces with you. Nela uses Yupo paper and watercolor for her artistry, giving each masterpiece a look and feel all their own.
I love that each piece tells a story. Her patriotism pieces are just outstanding, and you might have seen them published somewhere 😉 This next piece is a closeup and so magical. In addition to watercolor, she used pencil to sketch his/her face.
Nela dedicates her life to the arts and is an art educator based in Los Angeles. She is such an inspiration to me and I hope you love her art as much as I do. Wishing you all a blessed day! Muah! ~Kelle
Happy Sunday, kittehs! Last weekend was a complete slice of avocado sauce heaven! If you have never heard of avocado sauce, you must give Kumana’s Be Sweet, Be Hot, and Be Original vegan avocado sauces a try! Each bottle is made of 2/3 avocados!
Thanks to Live Talent Now I was blessed with the opportunity to model with Kumana at the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim, CA! Kumana founders, Francisco Pavan (far right, photo below) & Roberto Pavan (far left, photo below), grew up in Venezuela and have incorporated their secret Venezuelan family recipe, chalked full of tasty spices, into their sublime avocado sauces!
If you are on the go x365, you will definitely appreciate how fast you can add some tasty avocado sauce to your favorite dishes and snacks, likeeee avocado toast. You don’t have to spend the time you don’t have, peeling and slicing up that avocado to strategically place on your bread. You can just drizzle on your favorite avocado sauce, devour it, and be out the door! Also, you can’t beat the fact that it’s only 5 calories per teaspoon, 0 grams of carbs, and 0 grams of sugar. What?!! I go through a bottle of this stuff in less than a wk! Lately I have been adding it to my toast, chili… and even my homemade ramen! Feel free to add it to your Tuesday Tacos, Monday Meatballs, or Friday Fajitas! I cannot wait to use them as a marinade for one of my favorite entrées: baked salmon. If I had to recommend a Kumana flavor to try, I would say to try them all. They are that delicious. If you are on the hunt for a bottle of their avocado goodness, they are currently available on Amazon and will be sold in Safeway stores in Northern Cali in July 2018. I will be picking up a few bottles in Norcal on my next road trip back home for sureeee!!! Have a great week, loves!! ❤ ❤ ❤ ~Kelle
Alohaaaaaa, my loves!! It has been ages since my last post! Speaking of ages (because great skincare routines can begin at any age :), keep on reading for natural, organic skincare for healthy and youthful skin!It has always been engrained in our minds that we have to wear makeup to look and feel beautiful. The truth is, we are given the skin we are in for life, so why are we taught to cover it up with makeup?! While I still love makeup, to me, there is nothing more beautiful than someone rocking no makeup looks. Lately, I have been kicking makeup as much as I can, to give my skin a bit of a breathing break. To do that requires a stellar skincare routine. As you may know, I am obsessed with Honey Girl Organics’ skincare products. Over the past month I have been absolutely adoring their Super Skin Food cream. Let’s just start with the smell. The Humboldt hippie in me is all about that calming herbal scent!! It smells identical to the scent in the HGO serum that I also can’t get enough of (I don’t like to end sentences in prepositions, but you knowwwww). Now lets get on with the goods. Super Skin Food is the richest cream in their line, and let me tell ya, it is the bees knees!! This cream is perfect for anyone with dry skin. Every other night I like to switch Super Skin Food with my Honey Girl Organics Night Cream. The best part about it (and all of HGO’s products), is that it is natural and made with the best, natural skincare ingredients: essential oils, honey, beeswax, olive oil, propolis, and bee pollen. We can’t forget about nurturing our toes, too! When my feet need some lovin from a day or night in heels, I layer on some of HGO’s Foot Balm.
It smells SO good!!! But most importantly, it has the same skin quenching vibe that the rest of their products have, and keep my feetsies super calm and hydrated. Remember, it is as important to quench our toes as it is our nose! :)) My 8 oz bottle of HGO’s The Lotion, my most prized skincare possesion, was nearing its final drops recently, and Honey Girl Organic’s was so kind and generous to send me a new full bottle!! I think my original bottle lasted an entire year!! Thank you so much, HGO!!!They also tossed in a lip balm (featured in the top photo above), that I’ve been keeping by the bed. Love it!! Many mahalos to HGO for keeping my skin in tip top shape!!! Honey Girl Organics are a cruelty-free skincare line, and their products are made by hand from the island of Oahu, Hawaii. If you have never ordered with HGO and are interested in their line, just pop on over to their site & it will auto direct you to a 15% off coupon for your first order :)))). If you happen to try them, I would love to hear all about how they are working for you! May we nurture and love the skin we are in! Have a beautiful and blessed weekend! MUAH!!!! ~Kelle
Long time no sea, my dears!! I am soooo sorry that it has been so long since my last post. I’ve been incredibly swamped with work and life changes that I have had zero time to blog or film. In lieu, I have been posting quick video reviews on Instagram story, if you want to follow me there. The past few months have been dedicated to months of vocal work and songwriting. Super sadly, I wasn’t able to hit up the beach most of summer. Waaaaaaaaa. A girl can dream about it, though :). Speaking of the sea, Honey Girl Organics (HGO) has just come out with a new range of face sticks, developed on the island shores of Oahu, Hawaii! They have become a staple in my daily skin routine over the last month! Made with organic beeswax (containing over 300 micronutrients!!) and gorgeous oils, they help keep my skin nourished and moisturized. They are compact and easy to throw in my travel and makeup bags for quick, no-time-to-spare kind of days. The luxe gold packaging is gorge and twists up for quick, easy and smooth application.
The HGO Protect stick keeps my face protected from hot LA rays on the days that I run outside. We are currently in the midst of October, and today is 100 degrees outside! The Protect stick contains uncoated Non-nano Zinc Oxide to filter out uv rays and heal chapped skin. It moisturizes & soothes my skin all day and doesn’t clog my pores like sunscreen generally does. SWOON. I’ve been absolutely loving the HGO Prime stick before I apply my Wet N Wild foundation. It is the most hydrating primer I have ever used. So hydrating, in fact, that if you wanted to skip a moisturizer and just apply the primer stick instead, you would be goooooood. If you have dry skin like I do, definitely give it a go!
My most used of them all is the HGO H2GO stick. Lately I have been using it at night before I apply my Honey Girl Organics Night Cream for a double dose of hydration before zzzz. H2GO is made with organic bergamot, that helps to relax facial nerves and muscles, and organic German chamomile to help soothe the skin. Also love to use it as a lip balm and toss it in my handbag for quick skin pick-me-ups throughout the day. All three of these beeswax babies make getting ready an absolute breeze for just under twenty bucks per stick. If you want to check them out, head to their site and sign up to their newsletter to get 25%off of your first order! If you try them out, I would love to hear how they are working for you! Wishing everyone a bee-you-tiful week!!
Happy weekend, loves! In hot summer days, your skin might be soaking up more sun than usual. It may also mean more oil production and clogged pores. I've been keeping my skin soothed, balanced and moisturized over the past summer month with three of my new favorite products from Honey Girl Organics! The Facial Scrub, Rejuvenating Mask, & Night Cream have been the products I reach for once a week on my Sunday spa nights.
The Honey Girl Organics Facial Scrub is my new holy grail scrub. I've never found a facial scrub that leaves my skin feeling so soft and moisturized after I wash it off. This scrub makes my skin feel like I could walk out of the shower and not even have to apply moisturizer! The icing on the cake? It smells like a lemonade popsicle! 🍋🍋🍋 My next fave product is such a relaxing step in my skincare routine. The Honey Girl Organic Rejuvenating Mask is made with raw honey, French green clay, & Hawaiian Blue Algae. I like to slather this on my skin the night before a Monday 😉 Sleep, oh how I covet thee with my Honey Girl Organics Night Cream. This cream is rich and thick in texture, so a little goes a long way. Its essential oils and herbal, aromatherapeutic scent help me to drift away to neverneverland. When I wake, my skin feels calm and hydrated thanks to this gorgeous night cream. Loveee that there are only a select few ingredients in Honey Girl Organics' entire organic & cruelty-free skincare line. Quality ingredients over quantity, baby!
Hope you enjoyed my review of the latest products I've been enjoying from Honey Girl Organics. If you have tried them, I would love to hear how they are working for you! Mahalo!!! ~Kelle 🌊💖☀️🌺
Wishing everyone a glorious 4th of July weekend!! A hot summer, holiday weekend in Los Angeles mos def calls for a survive-the-holy-hotness foundation!! My holy grail foundation in all of life (that beats out all of my drugstore & high-end foundations!!), is Wet N Wild’s Photo Focus Foundation! This is the foundation that I have worn for months now, in nearly every condition imaginable!! It survives hundred degree days, 15 hour work days, workouts, ETC with ZERO touch ups. This foundation will never leave you hangin! I’m in the shades Soft Ivory and Soft Beige. I sometimes like to mix the two shades depending on my skin tone in a given day, or I will use the lighter shade to highlight my skin. Soft ivory has been my go-to concealer over the past few months as well. I like to set it with my Wet N Wild Reserve Your Cabana Powder. When used under the eyes it brightens with a blurred, filter-free, photoshopped effect. BUH-BYE stayed-up-working-all-night dark circles!
If you are wanting a your skin-but-better foundation, with great coverage, and a blurred effect that photographs AMAZING, then Photo Focus is definitely your jam. It photographs brilliantly in both flash and non-flash lighting sitch-a-muations.
I love that this foundation comes equipped with a spatula. That means I can whip it onto my face in a matter of seconds and be out the door.
This foundation blends into the skin like an absolute dream. It practically blends itself, leaving your skin looking polished and photo-ready!
Also in my review video are two giveaway announcements that you won’t want to miss!! Over the next week or so I will be giving away this gorgeous Vinylux Craft Culter Nail Polish Set! If you would like to win it,

I would love to hear your thoughts on Wet N Wild’s photo focus foundation! I just cannot live without it!!! Wishing you gals and guys a rockinnnnnn 4th of July!!! Muahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! XO ~Kelle
