Hi guys! My April Faves & Current Makeup-Prep Routine vid is now up! There were a ton of products that I’ve been loving this month, hence the lengthy vid. I’ve been loving Jurlique’s Purely Age-Defying Eye Cream.
It has a gel/lotion-like texture, and leaves my eye area feeling super soothed. Many tend to think that applying heavy creams to the undereye area is a good thing. On the contrary, heavy eye creams can actually clog the tiny pores around your eyes and draw attention to your eye area. Thinner textured, uber-hydrating eye creams are the way to go for sensitive undereyes. Jurlique’s is definitely one of my faves. Bare Minerals Biolucent Mineral Brightening Treatment has also been amazeeee. I apply it after I apply the Rose Hip Oil, and then I apply my moisturizer.
This combo has been giving my skin healthy radiance without the need to slather on as much highlighter 😉 One of my new holy grail’s is Chrislie/Measurable Difference’s Rose Hip Body Oil. It is a luxurious, calming, & hydrating oil. On the bottle it does say the oil can be applied to face, so I’ve been primarily using it as such :_) Aside from the light, true rose scent & lovely roses floating at the top of the glass bottle, I love that a little goes a long way. It applies from a glass dropper as a light oil, not a heavy one, & leaves my skin feeling hydrated and dewy.
This oil very could be my fave product of life!!!! Also been loving Real Techniques blush brush & Wet N’ Wild’s contour palettes!
What was I doing before this blush brush!?!! The contour palettes include super soft powders that blend flawlessly! Especially love the banana shade for setting my undereye concealer. The bronzers are matte, and are amazing for sculpting and all-over bronzing, not to mention, they also make great crease shades for that balanced bronzed makeup look. Petal Fresh’s Toning Hibiscus Papaya body butter has done wonders for body hydration this month as well. I also recommend their Honey Coconut Oil flavor :))) The Petal Fresh Pomegranate Face Wipes have been my quick face exfoliation go-to’s!
The thing I love the most about Petal Fresh is that their products include super natural ingredients. Next, Soapbox’s Mandarin Hand Soap won’t be leaving my sink anytime soon. With every Soapbox purchase, Soapbox will donate a soap to someone in need. Love their charitable efforts!! The mandarin scent is divineeeeeee!!!! Another fave is my plaid Posh Poncho chihuahua clothing design. Having a lot of fun making these!
If I have left anything out in this post, everything is in my vid above 🙂 Wishing everyone a beautiful week! XO ~Kelle
Alas, March favorites!! Better late than never, right!?! In this video I share my favorite products over the month of March. I was blessed to meet some amazing brands at the Natural Products Expo a few weeks ago. The rest of the photos will be up soon, I promise!! A few of the brands made it into my March faves vid. Must say that I cannot get enough of Pacifica’s Dream Big mascara!
It doesn’t clump after 2-3 coats and makes my lashes super long! I have also been lovvvvvvvving the illuminating primer by Mineral Fusion (wearing it in my faves vid).
It reminds me a lot of the Smashbox and Bare Minerals “slippy” primers, that I adore! Mineral Fusion’s Illuminating primer is made with 24 carat gold flakes to help calm the skin.
This primer applies like a dream and smells like citrus. A tiny dot of this primer, goes a very long way. Can’t get enough of it!! Also I have been loving the Lilac Skin Softening Witch Hazel by Humphrey’s.
I think it’s fantastic that Humphrey’s offers several kinds of witch hazel to choose from, depending on your individual skin’s needs. The Lilac version is hands down my favorite because of its skin softening quality & refreshing scent. I’ll do a more in depth post on the benefits of witch hazel very soon. If you have oily skin, the Citrus Oil Control is also fantastic! I’ve used it a few times because my skin can get oily depending on how much makeup I am wearing. Another super fave is my David’s toothpaste!! It’s the best natural toothpaste I have ever used and let’s face it…the aesthetics of it’s recyclable metal package is so gorgeous! It also comes with a metal bar that you slide onto the bottom so that you can twist out every drop of toothpaste. LOVE THAT!! Sulfate free, this natural toothpaste leaves your mouth tasting so fresh and so clean, clean!! 🙂
Another fave is the Caldrea body oil in the scent No. 1 Aloe Water Apricot. It is a beautiful oil that keeps your skin super hydrated. It has lovely light notes of spring and apricot. So yummmmmy!!!!
Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the products mentioned in this video. Please let me know if you use them as well, or if you decide to try any of them out! Muahhhhh!!! XO ~Kelle
The good ole saying you are what you eat also holds sooooooo very true to your skin. My skin is the first to let me know if I have had too much salt or sugar 🙂 So, in addition to eating lots of greens and fruits, I love using hydrating face products in my skin routine. Here a few of my current September faves! The first step is cleansing with Oil of Olay’s Conditioning Milk for Normal/Dry/Combo skin. I follow by toning with witch hazel every other day.
Then, I moisturize with Eucerin. I love Eucerin as my daily/nightly moisturizer because it is one of the most hydrating moisturizers I have ever used. Pairing it with the conditioning milk in my routine leaves my skin the softest it has ever felt! Also, when I use Eucerin at night, I wake up the next morning with my skin feeling uber-hydrated! It can also be squeezed into a travel size container which is perfect for dehydrated jet setting skin! Also, I am really into aromatherapy. Essential oils de-stress & also help me get to sleep. My current favorite lavender body oil is by Ole Henricksen. It smells like a dream and has sesame and almond oils in it. This oil is my go to after a long day, and I like to put a few drops in the bathtub, too. I am starting to feel like I will never be able to live without it 😉 When I travel, lavender oil is also stowed in a safe place in my cosmetic bag 🙂 Spraying lavender spray on my pillow at night also makes for the best sleep ever. That all said, I am getting sleepy :)) Feel free to comment with any questions you might have about my daily/nightly skin care routine! Good night, my lovelies! XO ~Kelle
