Happy weekend, loves! In hot summer days, your skin might be soaking up more sun than usual. It may also mean more oil production and clogged pores. I've been keeping my skin soothed, balanced and moisturized over the past summer month with three of my new favorite products from Honey Girl Organics! The Facial Scrub, Rejuvenating Mask, & Night Cream have been the products I reach for once a week on my Sunday spa nights.
The Honey Girl Organics Facial Scrub is my new holy grail scrub. I've never found a facial scrub that leaves my skin feeling so soft and moisturized after I wash it off. This scrub makes my skin feel like I could walk out of the shower and not even have to apply moisturizer! The icing on the cake? It smells like a lemonade popsicle! 🍋🍋🍋 My next fave product is such a relaxing step in my skincare routine. The Honey Girl Organic Rejuvenating Mask is made with raw honey, French green clay, & Hawaiian Blue Algae. I like to slather this on my skin the night before a Monday 😉 Sleep, oh how I covet thee with my Honey Girl Organics Night Cream. This cream is rich and thick in texture, so a little goes a long way. Its essential oils and herbal, aromatherapeutic scent help me to drift away to neverneverland. When I wake, my skin feels calm and hydrated thanks to this gorgeous night cream. Loveee that there are only a select few ingredients in Honey Girl Organics' entire organic & cruelty-free skincare line. Quality ingredients over quantity, baby!
Hope you enjoyed my review of the latest products I've been enjoying from Honey Girl Organics. If you have tried them, I would love to hear how they are working for you! Mahalo!!! ~Kelle 🌊💖☀️🌺
For all of the hopeless romantics out there, alas is my review of the Too Faced LOVE palette! With Valentine’s Day approaching, it seemed like a good time to review it for you! I was love struck when I first saw the rose gold shade: Adore (the heart farthest to the left).
It was the entire reason why I purchased the palette. This shadow is what really made my peachy-eyed look come to life in my V-day video.
After trying the rest of the shades out, I have so many more reasons to be infatuated with this palette! The shade selection is perfect. They blend and build color amazingly.
The two champagne shades, Cherish & Devotion, are incredible. A gentle tap is all I needed to highlight my brow bone & inner eyes. I lined my upper last line with Amorous. There’s something super soft, natural, & pretty that I love about lining with shadows.
Let’s talk about the waterproof eye pencil that comes in the palette. It comes in the shade, Perfect Black, on one end, and a “thinga-majiggy” on the other end. The black pencil is soft, smooth, & blends amazing. I just can’t bring myself to call the other end a smudger. It is hard plastic. My advice is to keep it as far away from your orbital as possible. I can’t imagine ever using this to blend anything, not even a peach smoothie.
Sweet peachy lips were achieved by layering two Wet n Wild shades, namely, Blossom Out & Within These Adobe walls. I wasn’t expecting the alchemy to come out as peachy as it did, and I ended up loving it! A new fave lip combo from here on out!
Also in the video, I made a makeup blunder by using a wet face brush, unbeknownst that it was still wet from the previous night’s cleaning. Ooooops. It streaked my beloved Sonia Kashuk bronzer & Garnier BB Cream face makeup. So I shared my smoke & mirrors modeling trick to minimizing streaky makeup blunders that you won’t want to miss. Without having to completely redo your face/cheek makeup. Cuz lets face it girls and boys, who has time for that!?!
For soft pink cheeks, I first applied Physician’s Formula Happy Booster Blush,
with my Real Techniques blush/face brush (hot pink one below). Best makeup brush for la face EVER.
Lastly, I layered Crown of My Canopy highlighter onto Precious Petals. Hello, cheekbones. This new Wet n Wild launch of powder highlighters and cream stick blushes/highlights are what dreams are made of. More on them in my last post.
While my Physician’s Formula Happy Booster Bronzer wasn’t a product used in my tutorial, however, I thought it was only fitting to include it in this V-day post. Is becoming happier possible when you smear these gorgeous bronzing hearts on your face? The answer is…..
heck yes. hehe
The sun always sets, the moon always shines, and may you always return to where the love is. Have a gorgeous Valentine’s Day!! xo ~Kelle
January Favorites are here at last! I kept them short and sweet this month. Thought I would mention the beauty products that are relatively new in my routine over recent weeks. First up is Wet N Wild’s nail polish in the shade YO SOY. This very skin-toned shade of nudelooks chic with any outfit/jewelry selection. And it’s only $.99!
This is also the shade that I wore all of last week while modeling for Stylus. The polish lasted for a solid 4 days without chipping and has become my go-to shade. YO SOY ENAMORADO! :)))) In case you might be wondering, Stylus is a furniture line that gives you customizable options for designing your own living spaces.
You can customize your furniture by selecting your own fabric designs & textures to create a living space all your own! Thanks so much to Live Talent for the booking!! ❤ ❤
January would not have been complete without Almay’s Smart Shade blush in the shade Nude. You can wear any of the four blush shades on their own, your own combo of the four,
or you can mix them altogether as one shade (my preferred application method). This dusty, cool-toned pinky mauve shade is SO flattering on the skin. I especially love wearing it with a smoky eye. One of the best blushes I have ever used!
Mi amor for Essence’s Roses & Bronze palettes also began in December.
How is it possible that a palette in the drugstore $5 per-palette-affordability-range be THIS good!?
The shades are SO buttery, creamy, & smooth, that a primer is unnecessary! That is, except for the matte shades. If I wear the matte shades, I apply a satin shade first to act as a primer for the mattes & to prevent streakiness. These are definitely A+++ palettes for the outstanding quality and low price tag.
A skincare love is Deciem’s Hylamide C25 Vitamin C Booster Serum. The texture applies like a slightly slippy gel primer. Upon application, the serum dries down but not all the way. After topping it with my moisturizer, it makes my skin feel quenched. It also makes my skin look brighter when I wake up in the morning. LOVE IT.
The Urban Decay Illuminated Highlighter Trio was also a favorite of mine in January. The shades do contain micro-shimmer glitter. I don’t find the glitter to be too chunky or bothersome. These highlighters look gorgeous on the skin both day and night.
The champagne shade called Oasis (middle shade), is more of a skin-enhancing powder than it is a bright highlight. I think it looks stunning for a skin brightening pick-me-up. My favorite way to wear these highlighters is by mixing the golden bronze shade called Pyrite,
mixed with the peachy Twilight shade.
The result is the most gorgeous Peach Bronze highlight ever!!! Honestly, it is the perfect cheekbone alchemy for spring/summer tan goddess skin. The Pyrite/Twilight combo looks just as amazing on fair skin (light-handed application recommended). The brush that is included is AMAZE and purrrfect for traveling. The bristles are incredibly soft & makes a stellar contour brush for the nose as well!
So that pretty much sums things up for my favorites! Hope you guys enjoy them. Please let me know if you are loving any of the products I’ve mentioned, as I would love to hear your thoughts on how they are doing for you. Have a rockin week, my loves!! ❤ ❤ ~Kelle
Hello my lovelies!! It’s time for another GIVEAWAY!! In my latest GRWM video I share with you not only a giveaway, but a BEATLES collectors edition gift set giveaway!! I’ll get to the makeup look in just a momento, because let’s get into what one lucky music lover will win!
Included in the gift set:
• 4 vinyl singles in their original artwork sleeves (includes classics Hey Jude, Ticket To Ride, Yellow Submarine, Eleanor Rigby, Revolution, Yes It Is, Something)
• 21″ x 21″ poster
• Single hub
• Exclusively numbered package
With all that said, I cannot wait to see their new movie, 8 Days A Week, directed by Ron Howard!!!!
Entirely unrelated, let’s get into the makeup look I put together in my GRWM vid. It has been feeling like Fall in LA, although upcoming weather reports say we will be experiencing heat again in a few days. lol. So I went with a Summery/Fall warm look using highend & drugstore makeup. My hair is a bit more blonde now, so warmer shades seem to be working the best with it. I chose some rusty orange, browns, & gold shades for my eyes. For my skin I loved topping my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation with Revlon’s skin light in the shade: peach light, Kat Von D’s shade/light blush in the shade Mickey & Mallory, & Anastasia’s Glow kit shade: Moonstone. This skin combo looks so natural, I loveeeeee it!!!! I really loved the nude Elf lipstick in shade Party In The Buff for this look as well. I hope you enjoy the vid & good luck to my music lovers out there!!! XO ~Kelle
Happy Labor Day, my loves!! I hope everyone is having a beautiful weekend! Just in case you missed my latest YouTube video, my Highlighters Only Challenge video is below! Thank you to my subscriber, Nick, for requesting this video! It was so much fun putting together this full-face-using-highlighters-only look with some of my favorite glow-potions. I didn’t have a shimmery foundation, so I made one by mixing up three of Hard Candies’ highlighters. Hysterical as a foundation, the 3-highlighter mixture is actually a great one for daily dewy glow on the high points of the face! Overall, I would most definitely say that this look isn’t meant to be a wearable look, as lots of highlights on the skin can exaggerate every nook & cranny! BUT, it does photograph great for editorial and black and white photos! Hope you guys enjoy the video! ❤ ❤ ~Kelle
Happy Friday, lovelies! It has been feeling a lot like summer in LA this week! That said, it is also time for some sunless tanning! I’ve recently discovered a dupe for Bare Minerals Faux Tan Face glow! Faux face has been my quick, go-to face tanning shade lately. I feel like when I wear it, it is enough of a sun kissed look and makes for less makeup to wear. I have recently discovered that the Bare Mineral’s faux face shade is nearly identical to one of my favorite drugstore self-tanners: L’oreal Sublime Bronze Mousse! Faux Tan Face sells for $26, while L’Oreal’s is in the $7 price range. It i difficult to notice any difference between the two shades!
For work and especially in warmer weather, I go through a lottttttt of self-tanners! Nothing really beats a professional spray tan, but sometimes I only have time for diy method. My faux glow is almost out, so I will probably just use the L’Oreal mousse on my face and body for my upcoming photo shoot. Shooooop-aaaaa-dupe!!! Hope you enjoy the video and please be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel & give this video a thumbs up :))))) Thanks so much for watching & have a beautiful, sunshiney weekend, my loves! XO
Eye glow brought to you by my new fave cream eyeshadow: e.l.f. Cosmetics’ “Soiree.”
In the container it looks cranberry/taupe in color. But if you use a light hand when applying it, it gives the most radiant skin-like glow!! There are silver sparkles …but they catch the light SO well. Also great for that glossy-eyed look without having to use sticky face gloss.
Neutral brown shades look awesome on top of Soiree (today I topped it with a mix of Naked Basics’ “Flaunt” + “Naked 2”). The combo wore great all day. In this photo my makeup was on for about 12 hours.
Used Soiree as my base all week & so far am laaaaaaaaving it!! Highly recommend it!! 👁👁👍🏻👍🏻
