Happy Monday, everyone! I hope everyone had a rockin weekend! I spent mine designing some jewelry organizers. I like this pocketed, sectional style because it allows you to see what you have, grab, & then go! My organizers were created with recycled materials. I wanted a bohemian vibe for the first style, so I chose a silk dress with a broken zipper (figured I would never wear the dress again so might as well turn it into something I would use). Then I went to work turning it into an boho chic silk jewelry organizer!
For the next style I wanted a Moroccan vibe, so I cut up an embroidered top that just collected dust in my closet. It even had the tags. It hurt to cut it up, but I am working on a minimalism mantra for 2017.
Prior to making these organizers, I was using a glass dish for bits and bobs, and pretty soon everything started getting all tangled up & difficult to find. It feels sooooo good to get them organized. This was a fun project to go along with my minimalism mantra for 2017.
I really wanted organizers that had some flare. So I gave them some texture with the bohemian silk & Moroccan embroidery for their own sense of style.
Hope you guys like them! Have a beautiful week, my loves!!! ❤ ❤ ❤ ~Kelle
Good day, everyone!! Welcome to my September Beauty & Fashion Favorites (in October lol)! Better late than never getting this non-sponsored blog and video up! First things first, I would like to give a big shout out and thank you to Miracle Skin Transformer for featuring me on their socials this week!
Their support is incredible!! Since the Miracle Skin Transformer Miracle Balm is one of my most prized beauty possessions, I will be giving away a full size of it in my next giveaway! Pacifica is also one of my favorite vegan brands very dear to my heart that has also supported me, and I am so thankful! To express my gratitude, I will also be giving away a few Pacifica products (see below for more giveaway details)! :)))))) It’s still warm in LA, so I’ve been wearing summery clothes with Fall tones; and it just feels so weird lol. Whether Summer, Fall, or Spring, I cannot be without my Muskoka Nord fish necklace (also below). It brings some seriously good luck!! Since I love both drugstore and high-end beauty products, this video would not be complete without a little bit of both. That said, L’Oreal’s Visible Lift Blur concealer is my new fave holy grail concealer!!!!
It is like Photoshop-in-a-bottle!!! My LA Girl HD concealer is still a holy grail, but this one is just that much more smoothing for the under eye area. L’Oreal Blur is not a highlighting concealer, if that is what you desire in a concealer. However, adding a brightening primer under the eyes, beforehand, works amazingly well. I’ve been priming my under eyes with my Dirty Works Radiance Cream. Then I set the concealer with Wet N Wild’s yellow powder in the Caramel Toffee Contour palette. This combo is life!!! Hands down, this is a drugstore concealer with better than high-end results!!!! My simple go-to eyeshadow look for September was created with my Too Faced Natural At Night palette and ELF smudge pot in the taupe shade, Cruisin Chic! I use a concealer brush to apply Cruisin Chic as a wash of color all over the eyes. Then I add Moon Stone from the Too Faced palette (one of my all-time fave palettes), also as an all-over wash of color. One-hit wonder shades like these are the best for simplicity!!!
I loved this daytime eye look paired with Kat Von D’s Shade & Light Duo Blushes in the shade, Hansel & Gretel. It makes a great Fall mauve when both shades are swirled together. The silky smooth formula of these blushes is incredible for natural looking color on the cheeks, that lasts ALL DAY & NIGHT. They do look more pigmented in the pan
than they do applied on the skin; a great feature if you prefer to build up your cheek color. Unfortunately, some of the blush shades do loosely spin around in the pan (as shown in the blush to far left). This makes me a bit weary of traveling with a few of them, as I’ve had to spin a few of the other shades back into upright position. The purple-y Bonnie & Clyde shade (far right in photo above) looks way louder than it actually applies . When swirled together, Bonnie & Clyde amazingly makes a great dupe for Benefit’s Dandelion blush! You also get a ton of product, at .317 oz each. These blushes have been discontinued on the KVD site, but you can still find them online and at TJ Maxx. I ❤ them!!! Next, I am a huge fan of rose scents. Especially if the rose scent involves the aroma of chocolate, like C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries’ Rose Salve. It has been my pre-lipstick balm and eye-topper for wet shadow looks in September. I can’t be without this balm! Get the rest of my beauty and fashon favorites in my latest vid! Enjoy!
GIVEAWAY ALERT: As mentioned in the video, I will be giving away some Pacifica products and a full size Miracle Skin Transformer Beauty Balm in my next giveaway. It was a beautiful night for music under the stars. New tunes from Eagles of Death Metal graced the newly painted Tower Records lot for a rock n’ roll night to be remembered, as part of the world premiere of All Things Must Pass documentary on the record chain.
For one night only we were able to reminisce in the glory of what Tower Records once was. It was so fun meeting familiar faces and catching up with old friends! Meeting Russ Solomon was one word: EPIC.
I asked him to please bring Tower back; that it would be a breeding ground for artists to find inspiration. He said he thought I was right. I am never right. Nor do I try to be. If a sock matches the other sock, I won’t wear them. And that’s what music is missing. Music is missing mismatched socks. It has become rhyme-timey, redundant, trite, & lacking of original lustre. Tower gave artists variety & original music mediums to ponder. An outlet for musicians to get inspired and change the world. We don’t need any more politicians. We need more poets, artists, and MUSIC. All in
support of bringing Tower back, say YAY! Colin Hanks did an outstanding job in the creation of the All Things Must Pass documentary! If you love music history, this is definitely the film for you!! I cannot wait to see it again tomorrow night. Am I music obsessed? Slightly.
I recorded a track on a 7″ vinyl last night! Sooooo rad.

Miss Muskoka Nord and I decided to take a break from Monday’s work and head to the Eagles of Death Metal Concert LIVE at Jimmy Kimmel last night. It was an awesome show! EODM music never disappoints! Neither does Kimmel comedy! Be sure to check EODM’s new album out on ITunes! Finallyyyyyyy, it feels like Fall is setting in here in LA! How awesome is Seyoon’s chic outfit and tribal messenger bag!? I waaaaanttttttt!!! I opted with a white specked tank, specked cashmere scarf by Nepali, Current Elliot skinnies, Aqua plaid coat, & black ankle boots by Sole Society. And of course, I couldn’t be without Kat Von Dee Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade “Outlaw,” and wore my black beanie. Good thing, because it began raining just as we stepped backstage! Music in the rain can be deduced to one word: RIGHTEOUS !!!!! Why can’t every Monday be like yesterday!? Hope you all are having a glorious week!!!!! XO ~Kelle
Some outfits just need that special touch with a sleek pair of earrings! My favorite pair right now are by Muskoka Nord! These sleek teepee-shaped white and gold howlite studs go with everything! They are perfect for striking your white light under the moon with their beautiful matchbox packaging! I especially love wearing these marbled beauties with white! Also envisioning them paired with tribal and/or Grecian inspired looks, and with black silk tops. They just give that touch of sophistication to any outfit. What I really love is their teepee shape and how they extend my jaw line in photos! They are classy and elegant just like the line’s designer, Seyoon Kim! She has recently introduced howlite teepee necklaces to the line that look amazing doubled up! For more info on her line be sure to follow her on Instagram & Twitter & and visit www.muskokanord.com!
