Aloha, darlingggggs!!! So excited to review some more products from one of my favorite Hawaiian skincare lines: Honey Girl Organics! They are an organic, cruelty-free & gmo-free skincare company located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. If you have been following my blog or YouTube channel for a while, you have probably seen my previous review of two of my all time favorite products by Honey Girl Organics: The Lotion Face & Body and HoneyGlo Regenerating Face Serum. Both of these skin-soothing gems are in my skincare routine 7 days a week.
Recently, Honey Girl Organics (HGO) sent me a few more products to try out, in which I am also head over Hawaiian heels in love. One of the most remarkable things about this line is that they include only a handful or two of natural & organic ingredients in their products. All ingredients of which we can pronounce and don’t need to run for a dictionary for enlightenment. This speaks even more volumes to the testament of outstanding quality and hydration power of their products, WITHOUT a ton of bizarre ingredients.
These luxurious, emollient-rich gems outshine some of my best high-end skincare products. My fellow dry skin peeps (and those of you with sensitive skin) would definitely appreciate one of the latest products I’ve been loving by HGO: the Face & Eye Cream. This double duo cream for face & eyes works wonders. Oil-based, this cream handles dry skin like none other! I like to use it for eye & facial massages before bed. Its herbal, aromatherapeutic scent is amazingggggg and the teeniest, tiniest drop goes a longgggg way. The compact jar size is also a great 2-n-1 product for traveling and long flights that drain the moisture from our skin!
Before makeup application, I have been prepping my skin with the HGO Propolis, Rose, Neroli Facial Toner. After my makeup is good-to-go I give my skin another spritz with this herbal-scented toner to lock things in. Infused with only seven skin-calming, clearing, & refreshing ingredients, this toner is sooooooo relaxing after “a day.” I may have to pop it in the fridge for a cool skin refreshing pick-me-up in hot L.A. summer days 🙂
The last product in my video review is the Honey Girl Organics Facial Cleanser & Makeup Remover. It is a gentle, oil-based cleanser for dry and/or sensitive skin. I like to use it for stubborn waterproof eyeliner & lipsticks. When I use it to remove lipstick, I take a cotton pad to apply the cleanser. Then I gently swipe away the lipstick with the cleanser, and after I’m done my lips feel exfoliated and as if they have a light, soothing layer of lip balm. This cleanser is sooooo hydrating. Love it!!!
Each Honey Girl Organics product is handmade to ensure quality of each product. So be sure to give each product a slight shake to ensure they are mixed together before each use. Hope you guys enjoyed my review! Many thanks to Honey Girl Organics for nurturing my skin!!!! Much love & MAHALO!! ❤ ❤ ~Kelle
Alohaaaaa everyone! I am very excited to introduce to you my new favorite Hawaiian skincare line: Honey Girl Organics! This line is organic, cruelty-free, gmo-free, gluten-free, and made with only the freshest & natural ingredients! Each bottle of their skin food is individually handcrafted in small batches from the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii! If you have dry skin like I do, “The Lotion Face & Body” and HoneyGlo Rejuvenating Serum are two products you must get your hands on!
They have made their way into my holy grail skincare arsenal FAST! Because they are made by hand, you want to make sure and give them a good shake before each use. The fresh, natural ingredients like organic honey, jojoba oil, hemp see oil, carrot seed oil, olive oil, & rosehip seed oil are so soothing on my skin. I’ve always been a big fan of organic honey in my skincare regimens & it is a primary ingredient in Honey Girl products! The Lotion can be used on both face & body, but I prefer savoring every drop for my face. It is a very rich moisturizer and a tiny bit goes a very long way. I really appreciate that about these products and foresee them lasting for a long time. The Lotion also works in complete synergy with my makeup & has replaced the need for a primer. Loveee that!
One small drop of the serum is also all you need. That one drop is so emollient that it could even replace your moisturizer for the entire day! I like wearing both products in conjunction with one another at night, as insurance for lasting hydration while I sleep. I wake up and it feels like I don’t even need to add moisturizer!!
Also, if you are into aromatherapy like I am, the serum is a 2-in-one soul-soother that hydrates skin & uplifts your senses all at the same time! It smells similar to one of my holy grail lip balms by Dr. Hauschka. I love the herbal fragrance so much that I asked Honey Girl what ingredient smells so divine in their serum. They told me it is from the ingredient “propolis”, which is made by bees. Good to know for when I go on the hunt for a perfume containing this divine ingredient :))) So if your skin is needing a moisture boost, then these two nurturing skin food products are the ones for you! Hope you guys and gals enjoy my review video of this wonderful line! Mahalo! ❤ ❤ ~Kelle
Last night was all about pampering! It was an eventful week & weekend, and my skin was needing some serious TLC!! In this video, I do a Rodan & Fields Mini Facial (with first impressions) & slather on some St. Tropez self-tanner. Nothing like a spa night and tan to bring my skin back to life! Rodan & Fields’ @FreshlyFierceFaces (on Instagram) sent me a mini-facial care package containing a few lovely skin samples. The samples included a Micro-Dermabrasion Paste, a Night Renewing Serum Capsule, & Lip Renewing Serum Capsule. I loved the glow the paste & serum gave my skin. The micro-dermabrasion paste helped exfoliate my skin SO well. Any patches of dry skin were no match for that paste! 🙂 Also enjoyed its invigorating citrus scent! The Night Renewing serum was unlike any serum I’ve ever used. I was expecting a gel texture, and it turned out to be a velvety soft primer-type-of-a-feel serum. It made my skin feel unbelievable!! The mini facial was the perfect antidote to my incredibly late work night the night before! Over recent months, my go-to self-tanner has been by Vita Liberata. Sadly, that bottle of tropical island tanning goodness was confiscated on a recent flight, for being too large for flight standards. Sigh. lol. So, in lieu, I’ve been using what I have on hand, my St. Tropez bronzing mousse. It provides a very natural looking tan. I wouldn’t say it is a super dark tanner, but rather more on the natural side of tanning things. This makes for a perfect self-tanner if you have fair skin and are just wanting to go a few shades darker. I also like that this tanner doesn’t transfer to clothing. It is made with 100% natural tanning agents, so you don’t have to worry about any harsh chemicals being applied to your skin. The St. Tropez tan can also be worn (freshly applied) under makeup, and it won’t make your makeup look oily, as the tanner doesn’t leave behind any film or oily residue. Loveeeee that, because let’s face it, who has time to wait around for the tan skin to kick in before makeup application?! ;). Anywho, I hope you enjoyed the vid! Thank you sooooo much to Alexandra Pratt @FiercelyFreshFaces for the thoughtful care package! Much love!! Feel free to leave me any questions you might have about the video or products mentioned. Wishing everyone a glorious week!!! XOXO ~Kelle
Happy weekend, loves! My February Favorites are up early for once! ;))) I’ll begin with my most coveted shadow of the month: Rimmel’s “Millionaire” single eyeshadow. You will be a millionaire if you purchase shades as inexpensive as this one! This $2 shadow from the drugstore has been my most worn shade this month.
I love how it is a your skin tone but better type of shade. It is a taupe shade that has a slight pinky mauve undertone and/or duochrome quality to it. When worn at night it looks fierce when paired with dark liner and a darker shade in the crease for a 60’s vibe.
This shade also reminds me a lot of Too Faced’s Puppy Love from the Love palette. The only major difference between them is that Too Faced Puppy Love shade is a little more pigmented and a smidge darker. Get that gleam, girl.
I’ve also been loving Laura Geller’s Bronzing & Highlighting palette, in the shade: Porcelain/Fair. It is a baked powder formulation, that is soft & smooth to the touch, & blends onto the skin like a dream.
In the palette are 3 bronzing/highlighting shades that can be worn individually, you can create combos,
or swirl them into one shade.
If you are wanting something a bit more affordable, Physician’s Formula’s Butter Bronzer, in the shade, Bronzer, is a near perfect dupe for the Laura Geller Bronzer.
When I swirl all three of Laura Geller’s shades into one shade, I honestly can’t tell it apart from the Butter bronzer on my skin. Both bronzers look incredible on fair skin tones.
When it comes to moisturizing my skin during the day, I have been loving La Roche-Posay’s Toleriane Double Repair Moisturizer. This has been my pre-makeup moisturizer on the days I wear makeup. Love pairing it with my Garnier BB Cream.
Unfortunately, this moisturizer doesn’t include the ingredients on the back. This is kind of a bummer.
My favorite body lotion has been Andalou Naturals Mandarin Vanilla. It smells divine. If you have ever had an orange cream-sicle pop, it smells exactly like them.
This lotion has all sorts of yummy ingredients for your skin. I’ve even used it on my face with no problemos.
Lately, it has been on the colder side in LA which can leave my hands feeling dry. I’ve been loving Institut Karité Paris Rose Shea Hand Cream. It leaves my hands feeling super soft.
I try out A LOT of facial oils. Oils are my preferred skin moisture method at night. I’ve been loving Sculpt’s Coconut Avocado Face & Body Glow Moisturizing oil. I apply it to my face before bed. This oil is just the right amount of oil, and not too thick of a consistency. It has been replacing my bottle of kitchen avocado oil that I normally slather on my face lol. The smell makes me want to eat it. LOVE IT.
It contains just a handful of healthy ingredients. Paraben free and cruelty free.
Another facial oil I have been loving is Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Bright Booster Oil Elixir. If you are in to aromatherapy, this oil smells of lavender.
It comes with a dropper to dispense a precise amount of oil. This oil is a little too thick for me to wear before makeup. So I have been wearing it at night and have been loving it. Ahhhhhh the aroma of lavender.
On the days when I throw my hair into a quick ponytail, I spritz my hair down with Toni & Guy’s Creative Style Spray Wax. It is great for texturing the ends of my hair, as well. A wax in the form of a spray. Love that.
I’ve definitely had the feels for Spring. I have been loving the bright butterflies on my iphone case. You can find this one and many other styles at the Dollar Tree for $1. That’s, right, only $1! They have a great assortment to choose from for all different brands of phones.
After a day of high heels, I have been loving my Tieks By Gavrieli ballet flats. These are the most comfortable flats I have ever worn. I like to pair them with a t-shirt, skinnies, & some bright lipstick on days where comfort is key. I modeled for Tieks a few years ago, and I have been in love with them ever since. Finding a good pair of flats can sometimes be difficult. These have bounce, hug my foot, and bend when I walk.
They have colors, prints, & textures in every color and style under the rainbow and sun. So finding a pair to reflect your personality is a sinch. I love the Tiffany’s turquoise colored sole with the cheetah print. Style plus comfort.
Hope you guys enjoyed my monthly favorites. Wishing you a beautiful week ahead!! ❤ xoxo Kelle
TGIF, loves!! I have finallyyyyyy completed the compilation of my 2016 beauty favorites! In no particular order of amor, I will begin with lip products. For 2016, and life in general: color was (is) key. Throughout the year I loved NYX’s Butter Lipsticks in the shades: Thunderstorm (I wear this nearly every day of my life), Moonlit Night, Sweet Shock, Afternoon Heat, & Rootbeer Float.
My most loved daytime foundation for 2016 was my Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream, SPF 15, Shade: Light/Medium. This BB cream provides outstanding coverage with major skin hydration benefits that my dry skin needs. What’s great is that its finish doesn’t appear to be overly saturated with moisture or dewiness. It leaves your skin looking flawless, with coverage, and rarely required the use of powder. Hands down my go-to foundation product for most of my on-camera work in 2016. I’ve raved on and on about my love for Miracle Skin Transformer’s Miracle Balm over the last year, so I of course had to include it in my yearly faves. This creamy oil balm is the perfect fix for parched skin, lips, cuticles, etc. I wear it on my lips nearly every day. OBSESSED.
If I didn’t have L’Oreal’s Visible Lift Blur concealer in my life, I would be lost! This light liquid type concealer is the perfect amount of coverage for hiding darkness and circles, without looking like you have concealer on. It really does blur the underyes, and its thin, light & creamy texture gives a weightless appearance to undereyes. Dream come true concealer!! Another makeup item I would be lost without are highlighters! My favorite face bling set in 2016 was Anastasia’s Sundipped Glow Kit.
My favorite shades in the palette are Tourmaline & Moonstone. They also make beautiful eyeshadows….
Bellápierre’s Contour & Highlight mineral powder palette was used on the daily in 2016. These shades are so buttery and blendable. I love the combo of cool and warm bronzers, and the yellow shade is perfection for setting under eye concealer. This palette is definitely well-traveled. My most cherished pink/white/lilac highlighter for inner eye, brow, cheek bones, cupid’s bow brightening was (is) my Measurable Difference Baked Face/Body Bronzer (but really it’s a rockin highlighter :))) It is one of the softest & smoothest baked highlighters I’ve ever used, & blends to perfection. I’d say I used it about 99.9% of the year for waking up my eyes!
Another Measurable Difference fave for 2016 was my Rose Hip Body Oil. While meant for the body, I use it on my face (don’t worry, the bottle says it can be used on the face ;). It has an authentic rose scent and I love the pretty flowers floating in it. A great facial hydration oil and bath oil as well. LOVE it.
2016 was definitely the year of the oils for me. I am getting very low on my giant bottle of Ole Henriksen Body Oil (oddly, it looks full in the photo, but it’s not). In fact, I am starting to fret as I am nearing the 75% empty mark. This was a big part of my nighttime relaxation ritual and helps me to get to zzzzzzzz. Mos def a 2016 favorite.
A girl without bronzers is a girl with pale skin, like me, lol. I have two bronzer adorations for 2016 (and well on into 2017 :))): Sonia Kashuk’s Cream Bronzer in the shade: Rich, and Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer, in the shade: Bronzer.
I love the creaminess and blendability of Kashuk’s bronzer. Amazing for dry skin. And the Butter Bronzer is one of the most buttery powder bronzers I’ve ever used. It was the perfect shade in wintery pale skin months. I’ll be loving these just as much in 2017, too. My favorite cream blushes were NYX’s Tickled & Boho Chic. Tickled is a shade I will describe as looking similar to LAVA. This lavalicious shade is perfect for brightening skin with gorgeous color in summer and winter months. Boho Chic is that perfect pink for cheeks that look like your own with that hint of pink flush.
Milani’s baked blushes are drugstore gems!! If you have never tried them, they are uber pigmented and STUNNING!! They give a sheen to the skin that is so gorgeous. My favorite shades are Luminoso, Rose D’Oro, Berry Amore, & Dolce Pink. I can’t wait to pick up the rest of the shades from the line.
A skin brightening liquid product that I adored in 2016 was Bare Minerals’ Biolucent Mineral Brightening Treatment. It gives glow and great moisturizing benefits as well. I like to apply it all over my face & undereyes after moisturizer, and before foundation. It gives my skin radiance without looking overly glowy/dewy.
My beloved Eucerin was my most used face moisturizer in 2016. The larger than life bottle is nearly gone as I used it a ton for facial massages. It’s one of the moisturizers that makes my skin feel and look hydrated when I wake up in the morning. Holy grail moisturizer fo sho!
In addition to moisturizing, proper exfoliation (once a week or so) are a must for keeping my skin healthy. I also like to drink rice water before my shoots to boost the health & appearance of my skin. That said, I am obsessed with Pacifica’s Rice Bright Luminizing Cleansing Paste. It exfoliates, boosts, & moisturizes my skin, all in one product!
As I am sure you have heard me go on and on about, Pacifica’s Dream Big Mascara was a big hit for me in 2016. The revolutionary, hard plastic magic bristles (that adjust via the handle) give me the precision for lower & upper lash building into the look of falsies. I am convinced this mascara is magic.
Anyone else with a taupe obsession?! My most used cream shadow in 2016 was Rimmel’s Shadow Stick in the shade Bluffing. This taupe shade has a duochrome-like soft lilac vibe that is so stunning.
If you made it through the end of this post, then I am sure you were wondering about palettes. Drum roll plzzzzz…for 2016 my most loved and used eyeshadow palettes were Urban Decay’s Naked Basics palettes. I used them a lot with the Rimmel Bluffing shadow stick. Perfect pairing! They were compact & sleek for travel & have great shades for quick & natural looks. The brilliant array of cool tone shades in the palettes I use a ton for my brows.
That leads me to my……..

Zen Winter hydration is imperative for dry skin. Pearlessence facial mist waters have been my saving grace over the past few months. Aromatherapy is as important to me as yoga. When I get too busy to workout, aromatherapy is my yoga. lol. When my skin gets thirsty I hydrate it with the lightly scented Rose Water, Coconut Water, & Cucumber Water facial mists, by Pearlessence.
The Coconut Water scent is my morning waker-upper. The light and sweet coconut scent gets me going in the a.m. That and a heaping cup of coffee. 😉
On spa days/nights, I use the Cucumber Water because it has a very light & refreshing cucumber aroma. After a relaxing facial massage, spraying this on my face helps to lock in extra moisture. Zen in a bottle, baby.
Roses remind me of the rain. Dew drops on roses are just so beautiful. This is the perfect facial water for a rainy day and/or pick-me-up. This is also the bottle I reach for the most for setting my makeup. Dewy skin is always in, especially with rose water.
What I love is that these 8 oz bottles last forever. They are like the size of an 8oz glass of water! The spritzer on each bottle sprays the perfect amount of mist with just one pump. I have been using them all for almost three months now, and they are barely reaching the top of the label mark. The glass bottles look really beautiful on a vanity & would also make really great Christmas gifts! Happy Holidays, everyone! XO ~Kelle
TGIF! It’s about that time for November favorites (in December lol). I went a little highlighter crazy with my favorites this time! Some days we just need a pick-me-up and highlighters do just that! I’ve loved layering my highlighters & blush over the past few weeks. I wore the layered, highlighted cheeky look I’ve been swooning for, in my favorites video, so that you can see how they look on the skin (minimally) in the daytime. My absolute favorite blush right now is Maybelline’s Dream Bouncy Blush in the shade Coffee Cake.
There will be nooooo clouds in your coffee with this blush, let me tell ya!!! The copper, peachy sheen beautifies the skin flawlessly! I’ve been wearing it with pale skin, and also with winter self-tanned skin for castings. The bouncy, cream formula blends like a dream and dries to a subtle, glowing finish. For not-so-subtle, I just apply more lol. All skin tones can rock this copper beauty! Layered on top of this blush, I’ve been applying Wet N Wild’s Fergie Highlighter in the shade, Photo Bomb.
I just loveeee the look of the coppery bouncy blush paired with the gold & copper highlighter shades from Wet N Wild & Measurable Difference, respectively. Another highlight I’ve enjoyed wearing on its own, with no other makeup products, is L’Oreal’s Touch On Color Highlighter in the shade, Golden Amplifier.
This light, creamy golden highlighter is great for on the go, thanks to its compact size. If I don’t feel up for wearing makeup, I just swipe it on my cheeks and eyes and I’m good. Also, gold is the perfect highlighter shade to rock on the cheekbones for the holidays! My go to winter self-tanner has been Vita Liberata’s Organic Extra Rich Self Tanning Lotion in the shade, Dark.
It gives my skin a natural, bronzed look without being too tan (as we are in the midst of winter ;). I love that it is an organic formula, applies streak-free, and is a true bronze tanner without the orange tones! Also in my November favorites video is my big hair don’t care, heat-free styling secret: VELCRO ConAir rollers.
Bridget Bardot hair is VERY possible with these fuss-free & heat-free curlers. I like to wrap my wet hair in them and secure them to my noggin with bobby pins. Sleeping in them is not the most enjoyable, but it is my preferred method. I think I have just gotten used to zzzzzz’g with a gigantuan velcro rainbow pinned on my head lol. After the hair has dried completely, gently remove the curlers, and helloooooo Bridget! Sometimes the hair is so big that I have to tame it down a bit with some hairspray. Total change of subject: for quick hydration for my lips, I’ve been loving my EOS balms.
The coconut milk (pink striped packaging) is my new favorite 🙂 Removing makeup has been easy and refreshing with Garnier’s Micellar Water (the one with the pink cap). It will remove waterproof eye makeup if you saturate your cotton pad and apply and hold it to the eye area for about a minute. Essential Oil’s Honey & Aloe Facial Mask has been giving my skin some extra hydration when it needs it. I was sold with the words honey & aloe, two great skin ingredients. It is a creamy mask that is amazing for dry skin. For extra body hydration, I have been loving Mineral Fusion’s Unscented Body Lotion. It is organic with uber-hydrating ingredients like glycerin & coconut oil, and really does provide 24 hours worth of hydration! This is the perfect after-shave lotion for dry legs! I’ve even used it on my face here and there with no problemos! If you liked my November Favorites Video, please be sure to give it a like & please be sure to subscribe for more of my videos! Happy weekend, loves! Muahhhh!!! xoxo Kelle ❤ ❤ ❤
