NEW from Wet n Wild!

When I saw Wet N Wild’s new powder highlighters and Báton de Maquillage cream blushes & cream highlighters in drugstores, I think I went to heaven!  Like a moth to a flame, I was entranced!  So I picked up one of their new stick highlighters, a stick blush, and two of their new powder highlighters.  I was especially drawn in by the glowing floral embossing etched into the powders.  Gorgeous!!

Every one of these items now has a cozy little spot in my makeup arsenal.  They also made an appearance in my upcoming Valentine’s Day video, so you can see a few of them in action as soon as that video goes up!

New Wet n Wild Cream Highlighter & Blush Sticks | Shade: When the Nude Strikes (left) & Peach Bums (right)

The stick Illiminateur is in the shade Win the Nude Strikes, and is the most perfect nude champagne (with soft pink undertones) cream highlighter.  I like to apply it with my Elf stipple brush.  It applies very smooth and blends into my Garnier BB Cream flawlessly.  On days I haven’t worn makeup, I’ve just brightened things up a bit by popping some of this onto my cheeks, brow bone, & inner eyes.

The stick blush is in the shade Peach Bums and it also applies and blends like a dream.  The color is stunning and sweetens the cheeks with a gorgeous peach glow, and just a hint of sheen.  This color will look ridiculously amazing on bronzed skin!  If you are crunched for time, these sticks are a great way to achieve gorgeous glow and color quickly.

The powder highlighter in the shade Precious Petals is a gorgeous champagne (with gold iridescence).  A gentle tap in this powerful powder is all you need for a gorgeous glow. Double tap for some double-y bling bling-ing cheekbones.

If you top the When The Nude Strikes stick highlighter mentioned above, with this powder highlighter, you will have some serious wattage going on.  Precious Petals makes a stunning inner eye highlight as well.

Crown of My Canopy is a stunning rose gold powder highlighter.  Also a perfect shade for summery bronzed skin.  These powder highlighters, are rich, pigmented, blend amazingly, and look as good (or better) as any higher end highlighter out there.  Both look beautiful as an eye shadow as well.  Peachy eyes are my jam!!

These highlighters can be built up quickly into the most gorgeous metallic shades ever.

I hope Wet N Wild comes out with lots more shades of these powder highlighters and stick blushes/highlighters.  They are absolutely next level!

NEW WET N WILD Limited Edition Palettes, Etc.: First Impressions, Swatches, & Review!

Happy weekend, everyone!! In this video I share with you my first impressions, swatches, & review of some of Wet N Wild’s latest makeup products!  If you love the duo chrome shade in their Comfort Zone palette, then you will surely love the new duo chrome shade in their new Plaid To The Bone palette!  I am obsesssssed with it!! I picked up the Plaid to the Bone

& Velour Vixen palettes recently.  Both are limited edition Wet N Wild palettes for Autumn 2016.  I also picked up their ‘Unchained’ shade in their regular single shade line, and the new Color Icon ‘Green As Thistle’ mascara.  Let’s talk about the shadows.  They are fantastic, pigmented, buttery smooth textures (per usual, for Wet N Wild shadows).  However, I do wish that the maroon shade would apply a bit more pigmented (see below for swatch).

img_8350

BUT it is nothing that a few more layers, or a spritz of face mist on your brush can’t fix!  The cream shade in the Velour Vixen palette is buttery, however, doesn’t swatch well, but does blend like a dream.

img_8338

The navy shade in the Plaid To The Bone palette, wierd-ly, does not swatch navy at all.  It ends up swatching into a beautiful satin teal shade (3rd swatch from right as shown below).  All shades are build-able.  Love that.

img_8310

The duo chrome shade is my favorite of the bunch, surprise, surprise!  It swatches VERY similar in shade to the one in their Comfort Zone palette.  But I don’t think it looks identical to the Comfort Zone duo chrome shade when applied on the eyes.  I can’t put a finger on this shade when I wear it.

One minute it looks like a haze of grey smoke, the next minute it looks like taupe, teal, or purple.  I love it as an all over wash of color, and have been wearing every day since the video!  The ‘Unchained’ shade is a light grey, silvery color.  In the pan it gives off some flecks of sparkle, but when swatched, doesn’t show much sparkle.

img_8360
‘Unchained’ single shade | Wet N Wild

It is a very rich shadow with a lot of pigmentation, and applies ever so smooth!  The swatch sometimes appeared matte, yet the pan photographs very sparkly.  The green mascara was my least favorite of the products, unfortunately.  Green is my favorite color, so I had very high hopes for this mascara.  It’s not that the color isn’t there.  It is.  Just a bit to light, for what I had wanted.  I bought it thinking it was going to be a bright emerald color like that on the packaging.  It turned out to be a very light olive-y color on the lashes.  I applied it on top of black mascara, in hopes that it would make it more vibrant.  No such luck.  It was almost impossible to get it to show up in a photo, also.

img_8436
Close up of Wet N Wild’s Green As Thistle mascara.  After several attempts of adjusting camera lighting, I was only able to get the green to show up on only one eye in the photo.

I think it could be a nice mascara to wear everyday, but definitely not for a statement look.  The one photo where it did show up, it would only show through in the photo on one eye. There are other shades in the Color Icon Colored Mascara line, so maybe they will work out?  Have you guys tried them?  I would love to hear your thoughts on them. I absolutely love the palettes and the single shade!  For around $3 for the palette, and $1 for the single shadow, you get high-end quality at drugstore price. Loveeee that.  I did look on the site and can’t seem to find the new limited edition palettes, so hopefully you can find them in your local drugstores.  I plan to depot the shades & add them to my Madonna palette (with my other Wet N Wild shades) or create a new diy palette for them (click link for how to make your own personalized diy palettes).  Please be sure to give my video a thumb up & subscribe for more future videos and giveaways :))) Thanks for watching! Muahhhh!!! XO ~Kelle

How To Personalize Your Makeup Z Palettes! | DIY Tutorial

Greetings, my loves! In my latest How To Personalize Your Makeup Z Palettes DIY Tutorial video, I show you a cool diy way to organize your eyeshadows; in a way that is reflective of your rockin personalities!

img_8107
Top: I went with Maple leaves because my chihuahua’s name is Maple, & Madonna for the cover. Bottom:  David Bowie’s letter to his fan for the cover, & a lense for the back.

I decided to do this diy tutorial because I have been wanting to do away with the packaging on my small palettes & single eye shadows. Minimalism! :))))) So I came up with a cool way to personalize my Z palettes using recycled magazines and empty dvd cases! Life hacks! Rather than just a basic dvd case sitting on my vanity, I customized them by cutting out images from old magazines.  I selected my images based on the shades I selected for each of the palettes (photo below).  My favorite of the bunch, is my highlighting face palette. I love the beachy vintage look with orange parachute.

Highlighting Face Palette | DIY Personalized Makeup Z Palette | Design yours easily with recycled magazines & dvd cases!

I did depot my shadows before designing the palettes. My apologies for completely forgetting to elaborate on how I secured the depotted shadows to the insides of the

palettes in the video! I used a hot glue gun to secure them to the inside of the cases. Super glue works great too. Sorry for not going into more detail on that! To stylize the front and back of your makeup z palettes:

  1. First make sure your dvd cases have front and back plastic sleeves (if you wish for it to be personalized on both sides of the palette). And if you would rather use real photos to personalize your palettes, that works just as great, too!
  2. Simply select your favorite images, and trim the images to fit the front and backs of the palettes. If you have a good eye, you can get a feel for if the image you cut will fit the inside of the dvd sleeve. Measuring the dvd case and image is best for precision accuracy. If no measuring tape is on hand, an image that is larger than the case is best, because you can always trim it around the edges to fit perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial video and hope you have as much fun designing your palettes as I did mine! Please be sure to give it a like & subscribe for more future videos :))) Thanks for watching! Muahhhh!!! xoxoxoox

img_6896
This makeup look was achieved without any makeup brushes! | Lashes: Pacifica Dream Big Mascara, Lips: NYX Butter Lipstick, Shade: Thunderstorm, Brows: Rimmel Scandal Eyes, Shade: Taupe

TGIF, everyone!!  I hope everyone had a beautiful week and also hope you have a rockin weekend to come!  If you like comedy, then you will surely enjoy seeing me be at the devices of my fingers in the NO Makeup Brushes Challenge!  Thank you to my amazing subscriber, Nonie, for suggesting that I do this fun full faced makeup look without any brushes!  I loved the way the look turned out! In this video I also share with you one of my eyebrow tricks for creating a cool modeling look that I like to wear a lot. Simply drag your brow pencil a little more towards the bare area between your brows to rock your inner Elvis!  Whilst applying this makeup look with my fingers, I also discovered a few cool new makeup tricks!  I discovered a great new way to get super-duper smooth under-eyes.  Who knew that applying the silky Wet N’ Wild banana powder from the Dulce de Leche contour palette under the eye without a brush (for the first time ever), would give the absolute smoothest finish!!! It made my under-eyes look airbrushed! Anywho, I hope you have as much fun watching this video, as I did filming it! Thanks again, Nonie, for the request! Your support is always so amazing!!! I will be announcing the winner of the Beatles music giveaway this upcoming weekend, or at the very latest, on Monday Sept 26, 2016.  To enter, be sure to see my giveaway video!  Good luck, everyone!!!  XO ~Kelle

Highlighters Only Challenge!

Happy Labor Day, my loves!!  I hope everyone is having a beautiful weekend!  Just in case you missed my latest YouTube video, my Highlighters Only Challenge video is below!  Thank you to my subscriber, Nick, for requesting this video!  It was so much fun putting together this full-face-using-highlighters-only look with some of my favorite glow-potions.  I didn’t have a shimmery foundation, so I made one by mixing up three of Hard Candies’ highlighters.  Hysterical as a foundation, the 3-highlighter mixture is actually a great one for daily dewy glow on the high points of the face!  Overall, I would most definitely say that this look isn’t meant to be a wearable look, as lots of highlights on the skin can exaggerate every nook & cranny!  BUT, it does photograph great for editorial and black and white photos!  Hope you guys enjoy the video!  ❤ ❤ ~Kelle

Day or Night Drugstore Makeup Look | GRWM

Okay guys, as requested here is a GRWM vid of one of my all-time favorite drugstore makeup looks, as well as my current hair routine.  I like to wear this makeup look lightly for daytime and amped up at night.  Also love wearing this look without mascara sometimes. How in TARNATION this vid is 35 min long is beyond me! lol.  I also had a few flubs with my mascara that I ended up just turning into a smokier liner for night.

Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette | Any look can be created with this palette!

The Wet N Wild duochrome shadow in the Comfort Zone palette is what really makes this look. This palette has been a holy grail for eons!  My go-to is pairing it with a peachy cheek, as the tones work nicely together. For day, I normally wear a natural gloss on my lips with this look, but for night, I mixed the Milani’s “Nude Creme” & Wet N Wild’s “Within These Adobe Walls” lipstick shades to finish the makeup look. For my hair, I added

Pacifica Hairvana Leave-In Conditioner

Pacifica’s Hairvana Leave-In Conditioner and Native Flower hair Oil to give it some body and sheen while it air dried during the video.  Pacifica haircare products have uber nourishing ingredients for my course hair.  I especially love Hairvana’s coconut scent!  My hair dries in lightning speed, so I almost neva blow dry it.  I just twist it, & wrap it into a low bun, and then remove bun for heat-free waves. Hope you guys enjoy this look!  Please be sure to like & subscribe to my channel for more beauty, fashion, & style videos! :_))))) XO ~Kelle

April Favorites & Current Makeup-Prep Routine

Hi guys!  My April Faves & Current Makeup-Prep Routine vid is now up!  There were a ton of products that I’ve been loving this month, hence the lengthy vid.  I’ve been loving Jurlique’s Purely Age-Defying Eye Cream.

IMG_1120 (1).jpg
Jurliqe Purely Age Defying Eye Cream

It has a gel/lotion-like texture, and leaves my eye area feeling super soothed.  Many tend to think that applying heavy creams to the undereye area is a good thing.  On the contrary, heavy eye creams can actually clog the tiny pores around your eyes and draw attention to your eye area.  Thinner textured, uber-hydrating eye creams are the way to go for sensitive undereyes.  Jurlique’s is definitely one of my faves.  Bare Minerals Biolucent Mineral Brightening Treatment has also been amazeeee.  I apply it after I apply the Rose Hip Oil, and then I apply my moisturizer.

IMG_1124.jpg
Bare Minerals Biolucent Mineral Brightening Treatment

This combo has been giving my skin healthy radiance without the need to slather on as much highlighter 😉  One of my new holy grail’s is Chrislie/Measurable Difference’s Rose Hip Body Oil.  It is a luxurious, calming, & hydrating oil.  On the bottle it does say the oil can be applied to face, so I’ve been primarily using it as such :_)  Aside from the light, true rose scent & lovely roses floating at the top of the glass bottle, I love that a little goes a long way.  It applies from a glass dropper as a light oil, not  a heavy one, & leaves my skin feeling hydrated and dewy.

IMG_1095

This oil very could be my fave product of life!!!!  Also been loving Real Techniques blush brush & Wet N’ Wild’s contour palettes!

IMG_1082.jpg
Real Techniques Blush Brush | Wet N’ Wild Contour Palettes

What was I doing before this blush brush!?!!  The contour palettes include super soft powders that blend flawlessly! Especially love the banana shade for setting my undereye concealer.  The bronzers are matte, and are amazing for sculpting and all-over bronzing, not to mention, they also make great crease shades for that balanced bronzed makeup look. Petal Fresh’s Toning Hibiscus Papaya body butter has done wonders for body hydration this month as well.  I also recommend their Honey Coconut Oil flavor :)))  The Petal Fresh Pomegranate Face Wipes have been my quick face exfoliation go-to’s!

IMG_9557.jpg
Petal Fresh Pomegranate Facial Wipes & Toning Hibiscus/Papaya Body Butter

The thing I love the most about Petal Fresh is that their products include super natural ingredients. Next, Soapbox’s Mandarin Hand Soap won’t be leaving my sink anytime soon.  With every Soapbox purchase, Soapbox will donate a soap to someone in need.  Love their charitable efforts!!  The mandarin scent is divineeeeeee!!!!  Another fave is my plaid Posh Poncho chihuahua clothing design. Having a lot of fun making these!
